GIVE UP VASANAS:

Sloka 267:

Book knowledge will not help in giving up Vasanas. Giving up Vasanas alone takes one to liberation (Mukthi). Duality has to be eradicated (Doer and Enjoyer) to overcome Vasanas because Vasanas are very powerful. This Universe is nothing but full of Vasanaas.

Sloka 268:

The sense of I and My is main obstacles The ego within the physical structure is ‘I’ and the extension of “I” projected into the world of objects is called “My”. Therefore kill superimposition for better realization which is nothing but identification with his own Self.

Sloka 269:

The Self within is to be known as the Witness of the intellect and its thought. One must realize his/her innermost Self.

Sloka 270:

Leaving one’s involvement with social formalities (Loka-Anuvartham), beautifying the body (Sareera-Anuvartham) and un-necessary study of Sastras (Sasthraa-Anuvartham) will banish the superimposition which has crept up on the Self.

Sloka 271:

People cannot attain Realization due to the above three Anuvarthams being an obstacle.
