Samadhi Niroopanam continues… (Understanding Samadhi)

Sloka 354:

Due to inherent defects of intellect (Dur-Vasanas), one gets the nature of duality such as You, I, That and This etc.. when the real nature of Brahman is realized in Samadhi all these confusions will disappear.

Slok 355:

An aspirant, in order to be successful in his meditation, must possess the following fundamentals:

1. Sama/Santhi = Not to run after sense objects from inside
2. Dhaantha/Dhamam = Nothing to enter from outside
3. Parama Uparathi = Patience, total withdrawal from mental perceptions, stopping and cessation of thoughts
4. Uparathi / Kshanthi Yukta / Tthithiksha = Patience, forbearance from silly setbacks.

Samadhi can be achieved only by sincere practice. Please practice concentrating on the breath by chanting Pranavam at-least 5 minutes a day.
