Manomaya Kosa continued..

Sloka 179:

Mind alone is responsible for bondage of superimposition. Due to Rajas and Thamas one lacks discrimination, this causes misery of life.

Sloka 180:

Mind is considered to be Avidhya (illusion/un-real) by sages just like the wind is reason for accumulating clouds as well disperse.

Sloka 181:

Mind must be diligently purified by one who seeks liberation.

Sloka 182:

One must root out his/her attachments for sense objects and renounce all actions with a faith in Truth and also hear vedanthik advises to get rid of Rajas.

Sloka 183:

The mental sheath cannot be the supreme Self either for it has a beginning and an end, modification, pain as well suffering etc unlike Supreme Brahman.
