Today: Chapter 11 – Urdhwa Pundram and Sandhya Vandhanam

Like Thripundram in Veda Vidhi and Saivagamam, Urdhwapundram is set in Vaishnava sampradhayam. Single line tilt on the forehead and other parts of the body is called Urdhwapundram. It should done from the clay however now-a-days devotees use Sandlewood paste. Sandhyavandhanam is inevitable for Brahmins. Since all Brahmins do meditation and chanting Gayathri manthram, every Brahmin by default he is a Sakthas.
